Hand wash in cold water using a mild, wool-safe detergent, or dry clean for best results. Avoid wringing or twisting, gently squeeze out excess water and lay flat to dry, away from direct heat or sunlight. Store folded rather than hung, ideally with a natural moth deterrent, to help the fibre keep its shape and softness over time.

Buying Guide
Every FableRoom scarf is made from natural merino or cashmere wool, which means small characteristics, a subtle shade difference, a slight variation in weave or softness, are part of the material rather than a flaw. Fringe length and finished dimensions may differ by a few millimetres given the hand-finishing process. This is what genuine natural fibre looks like, not machine-uniform, but honestly made.

We offer doorstep delivery for your order. Delivery fee of £3.95 applies for orders under £100, £7.95 for orders over £100, or £14.95 for items requiring 2-man delivery. There is an additional £30 surcharge for all Northern Ireland orders.

What a fabulous find!

Everything You Need To Know

Two fibres, two weights. Cashmere is 82 GSM, jacquard-woven, lighter, built to drape. Merino is 114 GSM, handloom-woven and reversible, heavier, warmer, made for colder months. Both are unisex, both 100% pure fibre, no blends.

Yes. Both ranges are a single, pure fibre, nothing blended in.

Every merino stole is two colours in one piece, a different colour on each side, so it wears as either one depending which way you fold it out.

The Oat colourway has a tone-on-tone checkered jacquard weave, and Cream has a tone-on-tone floral jacquard with a woven border. The rest of the range is a plain weave.

Dry clean recommended for cashmere. For merino, hand wash cold or dry clean.

Check the composition label, every piece here is listed as 100% pure cashmere, no blend.

Every piece is natural merino or cashmere wool, so a subtle shade difference or slight variation in weave is part of the material, not a flaw. Fringe length can differ by a few millimetres too, a mark of genuine hand-finishing.

Yes. Let us know within 14 days of delivery by emailing support@fableroom.com with your order number, and you'll have a further 14 days from then to send it back to us. Once your return is booked, our carrier will share a list of nearby partner shops based on your postcode where you can drop it off or we will come collect it. Exchanges are free, both ways. If you'd prefer a refund, a £5 charge applies to change-of-mind returns, that's simply what the return leg costs us. If your scarf arrives faulty or damaged, we cover everything and there's no charge at all.

Your refund goes back to your original payment method within 7 days of your return reaching our warehouse.

Yes, and it's free both ways, with no charge. Colour is genuinely hard to judge on a screen, and we'd much rather you ended up with the one you wanted. Email support@fableroom.com with your order number and the colour you'd prefer, and we'll arrange the swap and handle the logistics from both ends.

Please send it back unworn and unwashed, with the swing tags and composition label still attached, in the branded bag it arrived in and free of perfume, deodorant, make-up, smoke and pet hair, so it's in a state we can pass on to someone else.
